There are so many local conditions within the UK - different times passes are available, different services which can be used with a bus pass, etc that it isn't difficult to imagine someone appearing on 'Mastermind' with their chosen subject of 'Bus Pass Rules in the UK'. To give just a few some examples:
-
Residents of Greater Manchester will have a special logo on the new national pass that will mean that they can still get reduced or free travel on rail and Metrolink within Greater Manchester.
- On Merseyside currently Bus Pass holders are be able to travel on most buses, trains and Mersey Ferries within Merseyside.
- In the Oxford City Council area the new scheme offers free travel from 9am to 11pm on weekdays and all day at weekends and on bank holidays
Do you know of other variations from the National Scheme ? If so please let us know.
